Trulli sets 6th fastest lap today!

Italian Jarno Trulli finished 6th today after a strong session that saw Kimmi Raikonnen set the first pole of his career. His teammate, Fernando Alonso, finished 8th and will start from the 4th raw tomorrow. The Renault F1 team had some reasons to cellebrate as their drivers showed better form that earlier times had indicated and will have a better chance of scoring points tomorrow on the race.

The team, that had high expectations before the start of the weekend had seen how they are lacking the speed required to suceed at the Nürburgring.

The pole was set by Kimi Raikkonen after a great lap that showed the strong performance of the McLaren. His teammate, David Coulthard finished 9th behind Alonso.

Michael Schumacher will share the front row with Raikkonen after finishing 2nd. The third best time was set by brother Ralf just ahead of Colombian Montoya and Barrichello who set the 5tth best time.

A surprising result by Olivier Panis and his Toyota by finishing 7th in front of Alonso.
