Jarno Trulli is a new man after scoring his first podium for the Renault F1 team. The Italian driver has been matching and beating the performances of his highly acclaimed teammate lately and that shows in his confidence for the rest of the season.
In an interview for Autosport Online, Jarno descrives the relief that it was for him to finish 3rd at the German GP after a difficult start of the season:
"I've had so much bad luck and so many misfortunes. So definitely I deserved this result, and it should have come earlier. I've been searching for it, I've been looking for it, I've been praying, and been always determined to get it, and finally it arrived on one of the most difficult days for me, because I wasn't on top physically. But the fact that I've been trying so much, and been so close, made this result even more satisfying for me." He said after the race.
More importantly, Jarno was able to fight a poor handling car and a fever during most of the race.
Now, with the podium in his wallet he is looking forward to the Hungaroring and to the rest of the season:
"We go there with a lot of expectations. Since Silverstone we have had an upgraded engine and aerodynamics, and we've been always been more and more competitive. We go there and we just hope that we can deliver a good result again. I'm on really good form in the last few months, I'm really doing well, and just hope that I can finish off this season higher and higher." He added.
