Advantage at Spa???

The Mild Seven Renault F1 team have tried to gain a slight advantage at Belgium's Spa Francorchamps circuit by running on the track, even though Spa Francorchamps circuit is one of the tracks that the team are not allowed to test on. The Renault F1 team managed to evade the rules by not letting their cars do the full circuit it is believed that the Renault test driver Heikki Kovalinen ran from the pit lane up the first couple of corners and then back to the pit lane. This way the team did not brake any of the rules. This is classed a shakedown rather than testing which is allowed on FIA approved Circuits. Renault are not the only team to have done this with the toyota team doing it in the past.
