Youngest World driver champion?? Can Fernando Alonso become the youngest ever world drivers champion ever or will Mclarens Mercedes, Kimi Raikkonen stop the young Spaniards dream to take the crown from Michael Schumacher ?? With five races remaining on the 2005 F1 calendar can Renaults young Spaniard become the youngest ever f1 champion? Fernando is currently 21 points ahead of his closest rival, Mclaren Mercedes Kimi Raikkonen with 5 races left Monza, Spa, Sao Paulo, Suzuka and Shanghai. On the surface it would seem as though Fernando has it in the bag but really things are incredibly tight. With the Mclaren being much faster than the Renault it is going to be very difficult for the young Spaniard to challenge Kimi in the remaining races and with the other cars even further behind it seems like Raikkonen will have more victories under his belt at the end of the season than what he has currently. Also there is the treat of the second Mclaren of Juan Pablo Montoya finishing ahead of Fernando which he is capable of doing and should have done in Turkey until two mistakes from the Columbian. Jenson button and the seedy BAR Honda could also upset Fernando’s party.
But Fernando just has to finish in the top end of the points until the end of the season and the title will be his. Aero and Engine upgrades are also on the way for Renault and to help Fernando. Lets hope Alonso wins and becomes crowned the youngest ever drivers champion as he has drove incredible all season.
If Fernando doesn’t manage to stay in front lets look on the bright side it has been an incredible season and at least there will be a new world champion after the years of Ferrari and Michael Schumacher dominance!

GO Fernando! Go Renault!
