Fisi engine problem solved

The engine problem that plagued Giancarlo Fisichella in the seasons opening grand prix in Bahrain has been discovered after the engine was sent back to viry to see what caused the car to loose power forced him to retire. The engine that caused renault pilot Giancarlo Fisichella to retire from the opening Grand Prix of the season with lack of power and a hydrolic failure has been discovered after it was sent back to viry.

Bob bell was questioned on the problem and asked whether it had been solved

Yes. It was a throttle control problem,".

"Simply put, when Fisico was at full throttle, the engine was delivering only 90% of its full power. The problem only occurred in the car, when he was pushing hard. That's why we didn't see it in the garage or on the installation laps."

Bob bell was then asked if the problem could happen again in this weekends grand prix and if they were worried about the problem, "No, we have added specific checks to our normal servicing procedures to monitor the issue, to ensure we don't suffer from the same problem. And if there are signs of it recurring, the rules would allow us to change the relevant component without incurring any penalty."
