Italian driver Jarno Trulli set the fourth best time today on his Renault R23. His teammate, Fernando Alonso, finished 8th finished the day on a good note after a difficult Saturday. The session was dominated by Ralf Schumacher that set his second pole position of his life after finishing in front of a very strong Kimi Raikkonen. Ralf's teammate, Juan Pablo Montoya, finished 3rd, less that 2/10ths of a second behind the German driver.

Trulli run a perfect lap and was able to set the fourth best time in such a difficult track. Trulli has has a great weekend and he has shown to be quite cometitive at this track by being on top in most of the sessions.

Michael Shcumacher finished 5th after encountering some problems on the second and third sector. Coulthard, Barrichello and Alonso finish the top 8 dominated by the stronger teams on the grid.

Trulli was quite satisfied at the end of the race:

"A positive weekend for me so far with a very good qualifying position," said Trulli. "The team has done a great job and the car has been constantly competitive. I believe we have a good strategy and I'm looking forward to tomorrow's race."

Alonso was also satisfied for his effort though he recognized that the lack of track time in the morning session may have hamper his result a bit:

"Considering that this morning's session was spoiled for me by my spin, which made me miss a lot of track time, I am quite satisfied with my qualifying result," said Alonso. "I did a good lap and I am happy to start in eight position on tomorrow's grid."

Alonso has struggled this weekend to come to grips with the track in which he has had some shunts with the walls.

Trulli is quite well positiended for tomorrow for the race to try to achieve a podium, while Alonso is confident that his strategy can lead him to score some important points.
