Alonso flies in Silverstone

F1 driver, Fernando Alonso, took as much advantage as possible of the condition in order finish 3rd in today's practice session. The Spaniard, that had topped the times in the earlier private test session, was leading the board before Coulthard and Webber were able to pass him on the last stages. Coulthard fionished first with a time of 1.20.039 3 tenths of a second faster that the Jaguar of Mark Webber. Alonso, with his Renault R23B finished 3rd with a time of 1.20.485 ahead of Rubes barrichello, Olivier Panis and Jarno Trulli who finished 6th 4 tenths of a second slower than Alonso.

Michael Schumacher set the 9th best time whie the Williams of Ralf Schumacher and Montoya finished 11th and 12th.

Kimi Raikkonen on his Mp4-17D could only finish 14th.
