Renault F1 driver Fernando Alonso turns 22 years of age today.
The young Spanish driver has showed in his career so far that he can achieve the best results rather quickly.
On March, at Sepang, he was the youngest driver to set a pole in Formula 1 history and after having visited 3 times the podium this year, he hopes to be the younger driver to win the Championship.
Alonso has until 2006 to become the younger Champion in the history of the sport. In an interview prior to the Spanish GP in which he finished 2nd he declared his will to become a World Champion soon:
"Q. You really dream of being World Champion?
A. I do not dream, I want to be World Champion
Q. If you achieve it before 2006, you would be the younger F1 World Champion in the history.
A. Then…let’s go."
The best for Alonso on his birthday and also on a future full of races and wins.
