After setting the pole yesterday thanks to a superb lap from Jarno Trulli, Fernando Alonso was at the top of the sheets on the first practice session of today.
Alonso finished first on the first session after running only 7 laps. His teammate finished 5th after 9 laps.
However, the second session saw the team struggling to get some extra speed.
Alonso was unable to improve his time after running 11 extra laps on the second session, finishing 7th, while Trulli was able to improve his time to finish just behind his teammate after running 4 laps extra.
The best time was achieved by Ralf Schumacher that with a time of 1.21.939 was able to edge his brother by 0.3 seconds.
Ferrari was able to improve his performance of yesterday by setting the second best time with Michael Schumacher and the third best time with Rubens Barrichello.
Montoya came 4th just ahead of a Mark Webber that is showing great pace at tis track.
Raikkonen edged Alonso and Trulli with his teammate David Coulthard just behind the Italian Renault driver for 9th.
