Italian F1 Driver Jarno Trulli has led in both the testing and the free practice sessions today.
The Italian was just one thousand of a second faster than his teammate at today's free testing.
He then went to lead the field on the first practice session.
In an incident filled session the Italian set a best time of 1.11.153. He was followed closely by Ralf Schumacher and by the Toyota of Olivier panis who finished 3rd.
The session was halted due to the Jordan of Fisichella being stopped in the middle of the track.
When the session went underway again it started to rain heavily and it was not possible to improve on the times.
This meant that Trulli's teammate, Alonso, had to settle for the 6th best time after being in the top 3 for most of the first part of the session.
Michelin looks to have regained the competitive edge by placing 8 drivers on the top 10.
