The Renault F1 team completed yesterday more than 900 kilometers yesterday between Jarno Trulli and test driver Franck Montagny.
The Italian focused on tyre testing combining long runs with one-lap performances.
He did a total of 112 laps with a best time of 1.10.416 to the Spanish track of Valencia.
Franck Montagny concentrated on chassis testing with the rear suspension modifications as well as damper characteristics. Montagny run for 126 laps to set a best time of 1.11.031.
Both driver used components of the 2004 gear without any problem whatsoever.
"We did a significant amount of mileage, completing more laps than any of our competitors today. The circuit appeared to get slightly slower in the afternoon, but we had a productive day even so. The developments Franck has tested have increased the car's stability, while Jarno has been very happy with the car throughout the test." Said Pat Symonds Executive Director of Engeneering.
Today Friday Franck Montagny will conduct wet tyre tests at the Circuit.
