Is he on the go?

Willi Weber, Ralf Schumacher manager, has declared to the newspaper Bild that a deal with Renault F1 is ready to sign for the German to race for the Anglo-French squad in 2005. Willi weber and Ralf Schumacher are on contracts negotiations with BMW Williams to extend the contract of the German driver. However, it seems there are some discrepances between the parts over the money Ralf would make.

Ralf's manager was quoted in Bild as saying:

"We have agreed every point of the contract with Briatore, the signing of the contract is a mere formality."

Taking under consideration that Alonso has a contract until 2006 and that the Spaniard will bring to the the team 9.5 million Euros in 2005, thanks to the deal with Spanish giant Telefonica, and that the Spaniard has collected most of the podiums these last couple of years, the obvious thing would be the departure of Jarno Trulli at the end of the season.

However, it is not the first time Weber has used a possible contract with another team to try to have Williams sign into Ralf Schumacher. A similar ploy was used last year with Toyota.

Renault F1 has not made any announcement as of yet.
