Franck Montagny kicked today the last week of tests to be conducted with the R23B.
Renault will test at the Paul Ricard track in the south of France.
Montagny completed a total of 113 laps to the track to set a best time of 1.12.989. The Frenchman was well off the best time of the session set by the Williams-BMW of Antonio Pizzonia qith a best time of 1.11.501 after 94 laps.
Montagny work was to focus primarily on tyre compounds for Imola:
"We conducted tyre development with Franck today,” explained Christian Silk, Chief Test Engineer. “This week will be the last outing for the R23 in our testing programme but unfortunately, high winds hampered Franck’s work throughout the day.”
