It was a tough day at the track today for Renault as the Anglo French squad lacked the neccesary pace to put a car on the podium.
Renault run a two stop strategy in both cars but they were off the pace of race winner Rubens Barrichello.
Not only Ferrari was faster but Bar Honda and McLaren showed more competitive times during the race. Specially paiful the case of Bar Honda as Button finished second and Sato 6th and therefore they increased their gap on the Constructor's Championship.
Fernando Alonso finished 4th and Jacques Villeneuve on a race where both drivers had to fight with a hard car to drive. Alonso declared on Spanish Tv after the race that te car was difficult to be kept on the track as the back was quite loose.
Kimi Raikkonen finished 3rd ina good race for him with maybe a wrong strategy as he was faster during most of the race that the Bar Honda of Jenson Butrton.
Juan Pablo Montoya finished 5th, followed by Sato, Giancarlo Fisichella and Felipe Massa.
