The official times from the Thursday of the Jerez testing where Renault had two cars out on track. Renault finished 3rd and ninth in the session with French driver Montagny quickest of the two drivers with a time of 1m16.543s Renault drivers managed 3rd and ninth place. neither of the race drivers were present at the race or Heikki Kovalinen. Montagny and Di Grassi were the two Renault drivers for the day who is part of the young driver development programe that Renault operates.
