Fisico wants to remain at Renault beyond 2006

Roman Giancarlo Fisichella wishes to remain a Renault driver Beyond 2006. The speedy Italian is hoping to remain part of the Renault F1 team set up beyond his contract and after 2006 when his deal ends Australian Grand prix winner Giancarlo Fisichella is wishing to stay with the Renault F1 team beyond 2006. Fisico who had an up and down season in 2005 mainly due to reliabilty is hoping that he can keep hold of his seat next beyond next season and build upon his relationship with Renault that enable him to become drivers champion.

Its been rumoured that Finn Heikki Kovalinen who will be next years 3rd driver for the enstone based team will take over from fisi in 2007. This is due to the fact that Heikki is managed by Renault boss Flavio Braitore.

But Fisichella has came out and said that he will listen to any offers from any other teams.

"But that is forgetting the fact that there will be 14 or 15 seats available in one year's time," Fisichella told Gazzetta dello Sport.

"I'll have to see who offers the best guarantees
