Gincarlo Fisichella managed to come second on the time sheets from Jerez in todays test session and was the quickest v8 runner in the field with Mclarens Pedro De La Rosa using a restricted v10.
Heikki Kovalinen was Renaults second driver on the track and he managed 7th position. Progress was hampered by part sharing which had to be done between the drivers because of a rear wing failure and a lack of parts.
