Montoya to Renault!?

According to reports Columbian Juan Pablo Montoya could be on his way to Renault F1 in 2007. This comes after reports that Montoyas management have already had talks with the Renault formula one team. Mclaren driver Juan Pablo Montoya could be looking for a race drive with Renault in 2007, this comes after reports that his managment have held talks with the Renault team bosses.

Montoya could be looking for a change in team after world champion Fernando Alonso has decided to move from Renault to Montoyas team Mclaren for 2007. This means there is only one other seat available and Kimi Raikkonen looks like the more obvious choice.

Montoya would be a great catch for Renault spanish speaking sponsors telefonica as he would help their profile in south american markets and rebuild soem reputation after Fernando Alonso has moved to the mclaren team who will be sponsored by vodafone from 2007.

Reports claim that Montoyas managment has held "some meetings" although not talked with Flavio Briatore.

With no drivers undercontract for next season Montoya could have a real chance of joining the team.
