Michelin on top

Renault's Giancarlo Fisichella claims that their tyre provider Michelin are ahead of rivals Japanese tyre company Bridgestone. Fisichella has worked hard over the testing period with French outfit michelin working on tyre development. Asked how michelin were doing fisi said,

"I think they are doing very well,"

"We have a good level of performance on the first lap, and the consistency is good too. There has been some graining sometimes, but it depends on the track temperatures. Overall, I think they are looking better than Bridgestone."

Renault and fisichella have had fast consistent times in testing, often topping the time sheets.
