Having had five weeks off from racing, Dean Ellison is raring to get back on his bike this weekend, at the Kent circuit of Brands Hatch. Within the weeks that Dean has been off he has been keeping himself busy.

Appearing at the MCN Summer Show at Donington Park a few weeks back, he was selected by former Enduro Champion, Ady Smith, to partake in the Supermoto demonstrations. Wooing the massive crowd, the demos went down a treat and were good preparation for Dean, who will be competing in the Winter Supermoto series at the end of the season.

Last weekend Dean paid a visit to Silverstone World Superbike - not to ride but to sell his range of Dean Ellison merchandise. A successful weekend for Dean, and all products can be viewed at www.DeanEllison.net.

Hoping to put the mishaps of Knockhill behind them, Dean and the D&B Ducati Team (www.DBRacing.net) are keen to move forward up the championship points table. Commenting, Dean said “Knockhill was a tough weekend, not only for me but also for the whole team. Two DNFs can really dent your confidence, and we have to be strong this weekend and ensure that we remain focussed. We are racing the full GP circuit at the weekend, which is a very good track. It’s a very fast circuit and I’m confident that we can stay with the newer, faster bikes at the front of the pack. After Knockhill things can only get better. I will be keeping my head down and aiming for some good results.”

Brands Hatch is another British circuit that has been altered for safety reasons. This will be the first time that all the riders have tackled the new Dingle Dell section of the Kent track. It will be a tough challenge for the young Kendal based rider, with the likes of Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne riding at his local track on the factory MonsterMob Ducati. Plus the force of the Rizla Suzukis with Yukio Kagayama and former British Champion, John Reynolds, on board - fresh from last weekend’s racing in the World Superbikes at Silverstone. They are all keen to prove a point. Add to the mix the factory Ducatis of Michael Rutter and Sean Emmett, plus the super fast Glen Richards on the Hawk Kawasaki, Dean will be mixing it with the best.

Brands Hatch lies to the South East of London, and is situated on the A20 near to West Kingsdown - some three miles from Junction 3 of the M25. It is also linked via the A20, the M20 and M25/26 motorways. The regular rail service is from London Victoria to Swanley (ten minutes’ taxi ride to circuit).
