The D&B Racing Team will re-launch this weekend under the new banner of Firepower Ducati. Dean Ellison, who has had to sit out the last two British Superbike rounds, at Rockingham Motor Speedway and Mondello Park, will be back in style this weekend.

Gaining a World Superbike wildcard ride at the ninth round of the championships - at the Kent circuit of Brands Hatch - seemed to be the ideal place to for Dean and the team to make a spectacular come back.

After hours of talks and discussions, the new sponsor, Firepower, has crossed the ‘Ts’ and dotted the ‘Is’, and it is all systems go for Brands Hatch and the remainder of the British Superbike season.

Although Dean is unable to use the Firepower Bike Pill in his race bike ,due to the fact that it enhances the performance of his motorcycle, it’s been tried and tested in his car and motocrosser. Dean has said, “I’ve tested the different pills in my car and the crosser I use for training, and it’s feels like I’m driving a new model in both instances. I’m getting more miles to the gallon, increased power delivery and it’s saving me a fortune on fuel costs. I can’t believe what a difference a small pill in the tank can achieve. I’d thoroughly recommend it. Most of the team have tested it too, and we’ve all experienced similar results.”

Dean is full of confidence ahead of this weekend, keen to jump back on his bike with one mission in mind: to prove that he can mix it with the best and get the results he so thoroughly deserves.

Commenting, Dean said “It’s a riders worst nightmare having to sit back while the others race, and it’s a very hard thing mentally to deal with. I’ve been doing some commentary with Fred Clarke, but it’s just not the same. Nothing brings you the same adrenaline rush as sitting on the grid waiting for that green light. It’s made me super keen to get back out there and race again.

“We’ve done 160 miles of testing on the bike since bolting in the new engines from Italy, and so far everything is going according to plan. It’s great to get a company like Firepower on board and the whole team are motivated to get out there and prove a point.”

With an expected crowd attendance of 135,000 - where better to show off the impressive new set up of the all-new Firepower Ducati Racing Team? Dean will be riding this weekend with the number 89, so be sure you keep your eyes peeled for the awesome new look of the Silver and Black Firepower Ducati, which is also supported by Alcatel.

Racing amongst the regular World-Class riders such as Neil Hodgson, James Toseland, Rubén Xaus, Frankie Chili, Troy Corser and Chris Walker - as well as regular British Superbike stars, Shane Byrne, John Reynolds, Yukio Kagayama, Michael Rutter and Sean Emmett - Dean will be sparring with the best the world has to offer this weekend.

A challenge Dean is confident of taking on and will be looking for a couple of worthy results on Sunday.
