Organisers of next weekend’s Moto1 festival at Donington Park have been encouraged by the response from fans, and by the take-up on the event advance ticket offer. The 30-31 October spectacular features 24 of Britain’s best motorcycle sport stars competing against each other for the first time, and in four disciplines; road racing, motocross, supermoto and trials.

And, in addition to the Moto1 event, there are a host of other attractions, including the final round of the World Stunt Riding Championship, two days of Classic road races, a motocross, a trial, the Purple Helmets display team, a classic parade and a World Long Jump record attempt.

“I’m certain it’s the whole package which has seen the telephone and online ticket sales soar,” said Moto1 Chairman Peter Duke. “The response has been very encouraging, and we’re now all looking forward to a very exciting weekend.”

Duke added: “The majority of ticket sales have been for the two-day deal so there are probably quite a few taking advantage of the concessions – free parking, free camping and no charge for children.”

Initial advance ticket sales will close at 15:30hrs on Tuesday 26 October. Advance tickets will then be available until 15:30hrs on Thursday 28 October, and subject to a guaranteed overnight delivery charge.

Moto1 action will run from 9:00am to 4:30pm each day. Additional attractions also include a paddock display, exhibition, freestyle motocross jumping, and a chance for fans to try their hand at trials riding.

The Moto1 event will offer fans the chance to see the stars in each of the four disciplines each day, with both Saturday’s and Sunday’s schedules getting under way with a leg of the Moto1 trials competition.
