Leon Haslam signs with GSE Ducati for BSB 2005

It has been confirmed today at the NEC that Leon Haslam will be returning to the British Superbike series in 2005. After weeks of the rumours that Leon was to return to the home series with the second rider rumoured to be James Haydon.

Although having offers to stay in the World Superbike series, Leon said he was hopeful that they can win the BSB in 2005.

Leon will be riding a ducati for the GSE team, which has in the past made three world champions - namely Troy Corser, Neil Hodgson and James Toseland. Leon will certainly be a great addition to our home series, as he is well liked and can certainly ride a Ducati - as he showed at the very wet Brands Hatch this year by taking a well deserved win.

This now leaves Mark Griffiths, the Koji Renegade Ducati team owner, with no riders or machinery, as the current bikes are on sale. Mark will certainly be in the WSBK, but with whom and on what bike is yet to be released.
