Not unexpectedly, Steve Plater is to ride for the only mobile phone manufacturer, Sendo, who created the Sendo-Ducati team with Dienza Ducati Performance. With Dean Thomas moving to Hawk Kawasaki, it wasn’t a surprise to learn that Plater had signed to ride for Sendo in British Superbikes for 2005.
Steve had a terrible year this year, with many injuries hampering his winning ways, and not all of his own doing - being knocked off by other riders on at least two occasions whilst running at the front.

Steve was knocked off at Oulton Park, and also at Snetterton, which meant his wrist took an awful pounding, and finally falling at Castle Combe - meaning a broken wrist yet again.
Steve was to take part in the Moto1 event but pulled out due to this injury, not wanting to gain further injuries which would hamper his full recovery.
Steve’s bike can be seen on the Sendo stand at the NEC show, now on at the Exhibition centre in Birmingham.
