Scott Smart joins Vivaldi aboard the Kawasaki ZX10 for the remainder of the British Superbike season, alongside Tristan Palmer and Ben Wilson, and will make his début at the next round, to be held at Knockhill.
As the second half of the series gets underway at the end of the month, Scott will undoubtedly be on a mission to prove he is still a winner. He attained some great results last year, aboard the Hawk Kawasaki, and no doubt he will continue to do so with Vivaldi.
Vivaldi is a very professional team, and Scott will obviously be a great addition to the young members by sharing his vast technical knowledge of bike set-up.
Scott said, “Vivaldi is one of the most professional and friendliest teams in the paddock. I will be able to share my knowledge and experience with Ben and Tristan, which they can use to their advantage during the rest of the season.”
Team Manager for Vivaldi, Richard Wilson, said, “I am delighted to welcome Scott to the team, and I am looking forward to working with him. He is a very capable rider, as he has already proved last year whilst riding for the Hawk Kawasaki team.”
His knowledge of bike set-up is second to none, and I feel sure he will prove to be a great asset to the team. I must stress that Scott’s arrival in the team will in no way affect Ben or Tristan’s position in the team, as we are committed to young riders.”
I feel sure that this will be the right move for Scott, and some good results will now be forthcoming, as the Vivaldi machines are more than capable of taking podium positions. So look out for even better results from Ben and Tristan alongside Scott.
