BMCRC Lydden Hill 8th and 9th March: A sunny but freezing cold weekend at Lydden Hill, in Kent, saw Deb Cartwright once again score valuable points in the BMCRC-MRO Superbike 400 Championship.

Early rain on Saturday morning provided difficult conditions for all, but a fast drying track eventually made for some very competitive racing - with Deb finishing a creditable twelfth and fourteenth out of fields of over thirty riders, with her best lap times around two seconds down on the leaders.

However a run on the dyno showed that her Honda RVF 400 is some 10 bhp down on what it should be, a problem that will hopefully be addressed by the next round.

Sunday again saw two solid rides by Deb, but still posting similar lap times to Saturday - proving that her unquestionable raw talent and determination is not enough in this highly competitive class. The need for urgent attention in the engine department is now paramount to enable her to truly fulfil her potential.
