Colin Edwards leads the way into MotoGP 2007

MotoGP 2007, Losail, Qatar: Colin Edwards is at the top of the practice times in readiness for the opening race of the season. Colin and team-mate Valentino Rossi (pictured in 2006), now officially backed by Fiat, will be going all out to demoralise the opposition after last year’s results. Valentino has won two of the last three outings at the circuit, and is in determined mood. Perhaps more so this year than any other, after losing the 2006 title to Nicky Hayden - due to an uncharacteristic fall by Valentino in the last round of the series, which handed Nicky the title.
