Round six of the British NORA Championships pulled out some interesting results. Warren Steele had to sit out of this race due to his horrific accident a couple of weeks ago, at the Supermoto des Nations in France - where he suffered seven fractures to his leg and also a broken ankle.

Also missing was Christian Iddon, who has opted to concentrate on the European and World Championships.

Youngster David Jackson proved himself a true force to be reckoned with. Riding his KTM, David has been grasping at the heels of the top lads all season. Eventually his hard work paid off - a second in race one, followed by a third in race two. Winning the third race David had found his form, and was keen to carry it on into the final.

Leading from the start in the final, David pushed himself hard and managed to remain focused and keep himself ahead of factory KTM rider Ady Smith. All was going to plan until the last corner. Losing the front end, David handed over the win to an amazed Smith. Pushing his bike over the line David still managed to gain a very creditable and very deserved third place.

It was former Enduro Champion Ady Smith that took the race one win, from Jackson and factory Honda rider Leighton Haigh who finished third. Pushing hard over the six laps it was Smith that got the upper hand, passing the chequered flag three seconds faster than Jackson.

Smith pulled the lead in race two but suffered a hefty crash early on in the racing, losing his gear lever in the process. Ady picked the bike back up and remounted at the back of the field. Only managing to clamber to 20th position would put him towards the back of the pack come race three. It was Leighton Haigh who was happy to take the second win from Nigel Scott.

David Jackson was riding his own race in race three, powering his KTM to an impressive win, fourteen seconds quicker than second place man Nigel Scott. Scott was locked in a tight battle with Rob Cross and Ian Cherry. Ady Smith could only master seventh place after his back row start, and Leighton Haigh came into bother on two occasions losing his Honda in a depth dust. Fighting back in true form, Leighton was determined to cut through the pack and pushed himself to fourteenth.

The final proved to be the best race of the day as Jackson took off from the start. Ady was masterly, watching his every move and staying on his heels at every possible opportunity. Dicing with him throughout he was unable to manoeuvre past the young Jackson. David looked like he had the race tied up, a last corner blunder and Smith dived past. A disheartened Jackson unwillingly pushed his bike over the finish line.
