Mike Carter’s successful Husky Sport Team of Christian Iddon, Jay Smith, Dave McKee and Mike Wright are heading to Greater Manchester this weekend. 3 Sisters near Wigan is one of the most commonly used Supermoto tracks, and an ideal venue to watch the top riders from the UK and Ireland battle it out

Dave McKee will be hoping for a strong result this weekend. After breaking his collarbone badly in the last round he is keen to return to the team fully fit, and looking to gain a handful of positive positions. Missing one round has seen him drop to eleventh place in the Open Class championship, but fully fit he should be back out and battling for the top positions.

Iddon is determined to return to his usual form and make a mark at the top end of the table. Wanting to gain valuable points in the championship and defend his British Championship title, Christian will be in fighting force and out on a mission to gain vital points. Lying in second place in both the 450 and Open Class championships, good results this weekend will still keep him in good contention to fight for the title again.

Leading the manufacturers’ championship, Husqvarna have a healthy lead and will be ensuring that they maintain that lead and remain at the top of the table. Jay Smith, after a couple of DNFs, is sat in twelfth position in the Open Class and is keen to improve on that position. Commenting, he said, “I’ve had a few problems this season and had to miss the last round as I was struck down with a nasty virus and missed out on a number of points. I rode at Snetterton last week and managed to secure a couple of podium positions so I’m hoping to do the same again this weekend.”
