The final round of the ACU British Supermoto Championships takes place this weekend at Lydd, Kent. Reigning British Champion Christian Iddon can still salvage second place in the Open Championships, despite missing the last round in Sunderland due to World Championship commitments.

Iddon, who dropped from second to fourth in the championship standings, is still lying only eight points behind current runner-up man Ady Smith. A handful of good results this weekend for the young 19-year-old could still see him gain the number two spot.

Iddon has been mastering the World Supermoto series and has really been showing off his talented skills. He currently lies in an impressive sixth place in the S2 World Championship series. The High-Peak based rider has really pushed himself hard this season, has been a regular visitor to the World Class podium, and has been the talk on many people’s lips.

He’s looking forward to ride in the final round of the ACU Championship this weekend, and will be looking to gain the number two spot. Commenting, he said, “I’ve been flat out this year and don’t seem to have been in one place at a time for very long. The World Championships races are going very well for me and we still have a number of rounds remaining. I’m feeling confident as a head to Lydd and hope to end the series on a high.”
