Northamptonshire’s motorcycle racer, Maria Costello, the fastest woman to lap the Isle of Man TT course, will be one of the sports panel at the Second Annual Women’s Sports Foundation Conference at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. Friday 1st October 2004.
The line up of presenters and speakers for the day combines influence with athletic prowess, and will challenge and enthuse all attendees. The range of quality workshops will present you with time for discussion and the sharing of good practice, as well as providing you with some innovative ideas and thinking.
Keenly anticipated keynote presentations will be given by Sue Campbell, Chief Executive of the Youth Sport Trust and UK Sport Chair, Dr Anita White, Senior Advisor to the International Working Group on Women and Sport, David James and Hope Powell OBE as well as the Chief Executive of the WSF.*
Sports Panel Question Time
Hosted by Jo Mould, BBC Radio Presenter, this new feature of the Annual Conference will provide delegates with an exciting opportunity to share the experiences of a sports panel guests including Olympic medallists, current international coaches and athletes. Quiz them on their influences and inspirations, the pathway into their sport and the highs and lows of their personal journey.*

Workshops
The schedule addresses some vital issues for women and girls in sport and physical activity. They range from sports psychology and female sporting performance studies to innovative, school-based research projects. Of course there is room for practical work too with the SAQ® Fundamental Movement Workshop (LTAD).*
