Maria Costello took an excellent seventh position in the 400cc class in her first race at the North West 200, in a total time of 28:43.35 - an average speed of 93.364 mph - in the five lap race on her Honda 400 RLR Motorsports backed machine. Weather was mixed with a wet and dry track. In the Kennedy Group 600 race she attained another excellent 29th position, out of 43 finishers - also a five lap race during wet and dry conditions, tyres were the optimum choice to gain any positions in the conditions - in a total time of 27:34.59, an average speed of 97.243 mph.

Beating more experienced riders who have raced at the North West 200 in previous years, these results will surely bring her back to the Emerald Isle next year.

Maria also took a well deserved 32nd position in the Supersport 600 class, out of a total of 44 finishers, rounding off a great series of rides in her first visit to the NW200 in a time of 26:28.91, and with an average lap time of 101.263 mph.
