Massa doesn't need to prove - Alonso

Felipe Massa may be fighting to save his seat, and the tifosis all over the world are upset with his driving, but his team-mate, Fernando Alonso thinks otherwise.

The Spaniard backed the struggling Brazlian, stating that, he doesn't need to prove anything.

El Pais newspaper reports Alonso quoted, after Massa finished ninth in Bahrain, that "He had a great start, pulled away from the traffic and ran a super race."

"But we didn't discover this just now: Felipe has won in Bahrain twice. He doesn't need to prove anything," said Alonso."

Felipe is having one of the worst season starts since he started driving for Ferrari, and is fighting to save his seat.

Though many feel Massa is over with his best years, and team boss Stefano Domenicali too echoed the same feeling when he said, Massa "needs to improve" for the sake of his very "future in formula one".
