Ferrari struggles for pace in practice at Japan

Fernando Alonso could not finish in the top ten fastest car in the first practice, as along with Red Bull, Ferrari suffered blisters in the rear tyres.

Mark Webber though posted the fastest time in FP1, while Jenson Button topped the second practice session.

Force India showed some pace, with driver Nico Hulkenburg splitting the Red Bull and Ferrari to post 4th fastest time in practice two.

Alonso struggled in the first session, though he looked much faster in the second, but overall it looks to be tough for them to challenge the Mclarens.

Felipe Massa finished 9th fastest in the second Ferrari in practice two.

Alonso is currently having a 29-point championship lead over Vettel, who is 16 points ahead of Raikkonen.
