Ferrari has decided to write off the current season if the team doesn't secure a good result at the upcoming Monza GP.

Team Boss, Stefano Domenicali, made this announcement vide the daily Corriere dello Sport.

“Should Monza go really badly and Red Bull’s lead continues to increase, then on Monday we will begin to use all of our staff and resources for the project of next season’s car."

He, however, was all praise of Fernando Alonso and his commitment towards his job.

“Alonso reminds me very much of Schumacher. Since I’ve been with Ferrari, I have not seen a driver who has as strong a presence in Maranello, and follows all of our activities with the same conviction.”

Ferrari are also awaiting the result of WMSC hearing against it's alleged team orders tomorrow.

It looks likely the team would be deducted of either all their points earned at Germany or still worse the points earned for the entire season.

However, If the drivers too lose their points, even a good show at Monza will dent Alonso's chances badly for driver's championship.
