Ferrari f-duct to be made easy for drivers

Ferrari are working aggresively on their f-duct solution, for the next GP in Turkey.

With the debut of its F-duct in Barcelona being criticised for the difficulty in use, the team is now working on solutions to make it more easier to handle.

Speaking to Spain's AS newspaper, Stefano Domenicali said, “We are working on different solutions that will be more comfortable for our drivers than the first version."

He further added, "We have not yet decided what will be the position (of the cockpit air inlet)."

It may be noted that, unlike the solution on McLaren's car, where the drivers block the air-inlet with their knee, the Ferrari drivers were seen as using their hand to block the cockpit air inlet.

This is rumoured to have posed difficulty during driving the car, and hence Ferrari are in a pursuit for a better solution that would not only serve its drivers better but also give the required pace boost in closing down the gap to Red Bull Racing.
