Luca Montezemolo continued his criticism of the new teams, and this time he went on to say that they shouldn't be allowed to participate.

The Ferrari Chairman had just recently slammed the new teams for being too slow. He had branded these teams as a 'joke' and had earlier called to rename F1's to Formula-3.

His latest outburst is in the wake of Alonso, who was leading the race at the Canadian GP, got caught twice behind slower cars of Lotus and HRT, that ruined his chances of winning.

Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport, he said, "Cars who perform at GP2-level should not be allowed to participate in F1 races because they are supposed to race on Sunday mornings."

"Our car's race pace was good enough for victory. Let's hope that, in the future, there won't be more mistakes in lapping cars that put us at a disadvantage, because we've already gone through enough of that."

Montezemolo has been trying to convince the F1 authorities in allowing top teams to run three cars, which will make good competition, better chances for test drivers, and avoid cars that are slow by almost 4-6 seconds per lap from the faster ones.
