It is rumoured that Felipe Massa is all set to driver for Ferrari one more year, laying to rest all the speculation of Heikki Kovalainen and Sergio Perez among others replacing him.

Ferrari's ace driver, and Felipe's teammate, Fernando Alonso, has been vocally supporting Felipe to be by his side, saying that the so called drivers could not match what Massa has done so far.

"With all the names you hear, if you compare what Felipe has done and what these little names have done ..." he said.

"In my opinion we need to have a driver that respects Ferrari, that respects the tradition that here we work for the team, for the red cars," added Alonso.

Veteran correspondent Roger Benoit, of the Swiss newspaper Blick said the 31-year-old is staying put in the wake of his recent form surge.

"It (2013) will be his eighth season in red," wrote Benoit.

With Montezemolo already denouncing Perez joining Ferrari, and if we compare the records of Kovalainen with Massa, as Alonso said, for Ferrari it makes sense to keep Felipe Massa for one more year.

May be for 2014 they can think of other prospects like Sebastian Vettel etc., to partner Fernando Alonso.
