Teams prefer KERS system from Magneti Marelli

Magneti Marelli seems to be the preferred supplier for KERS system, next year, for most of the teams in formula one.

Ferrari have already used the energy-recovery technology last season, and other teams are following suit.

Ferrari-powered Sauber is going for the KERS system offered by Magneti Marelli, so also are Red Bull, along with their engine supplier, Renault.

The Sesto San Giovanni-based company, which is Fiat's subsidiary and electronics specialists, are oferring the system at a price of US $1 million per season.

The other Ferrari-powered team, Torro Rosso, as reported by Autospring are also rumoured to use it, along with new teams Lotus, HRT and Virgin.

KERS system which was banned by teams for the current season, due to the high cost and weight distribution problems, would once again be seen on cars from next season, as the weight limit of the car and driver has been raised further by 20kg.
