The buzz about the reported engine deal between SAUBER and BMW a few weeks ago came and went without official comment from the team themselves. Now Peter Sauber himself has cast doubt on the validity of the reports.
"Nothing has changed," Sauber told Autosport. "I would not expect any decision within the next two weeks."
The team boss has said that no contract is signed for 2006 and that he is also talking to Ferrari and Toyota. The Swiss team has used Ferrari engines, albeit rebadged by Petronas, since 1997. A decision can't be much further out than that though, as work on the C25 for next season will begin this spring.
