Villeneuve Feels Like a Passenger in C24

Both Jacques Villeneuve and Felipe Massa have called for changes and improvements to the SAUBER PETRONAS C24 in light of the team's lackluster performances this season. But Villeneuve has an additional challenge with the car that his younger teammate does not. Villeneuve is struggling with the electronic drivers aids inherent in a modern day Formula One racer. The veteran driver claims the aids are designed "for the younger generation".

"They grew up with them," Villeneuve said. "I just don't have any confidence with it. I'm driving tense, not with feeling. I feel like a passenger, not a driver."

The team have vowed that more upgrades to the C24 are on the way but Villeneuve will have to continue his efforts to adapt his driving to the car.
