Sauber Rules out Running Third Car

Despite a recent rule change opening the door to more experienced drivers being permitted to drive the third cars on Friday, Peter Sauber has once again decided against hiring a third driver of his own. But his reason goes beyond the 'lack of funds' claim that we've become so accustomed to hearing. "We get enough support from Michelin to decide which tyre to use," Peter Sauber told Motorsport Aktuell, "And I doubt that a very young driver would be much help regarding set-up anyway."

His comment about a "very young driver" is a bit confusing in light of that recent rule change, but he seems to have made it clear that he does not feel his team would benefit sufficiently from running a third car.
