Sauber Petronas continued its first three-day season test at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona on Thursday. Heinz-Harald Frentzen in chassis 05 covered 111 laps to set a best time of 1:18.757.
Heinz-Harald finished the teams test schedule on Thursday, and Nick Heidfeld took over on Friday.
Jacky Eeckelaert, Head of Vehicle Engineering at Sauber Petronas, said "We were very busy today and covered many laps to fully exploit the test day. After we confirmed the tyre choice for Brazil yesterday we were working on Bridgestone data for Barcelona. We were also testing several new aerodynamic parts with respect to the Barcelona race and in the afternoon we focused on further aerodynamic checks for the forthcoming grand prix in Sao Paulo. The test day ran without any problems and very smoothly. Overall we are happy with what we achieved today and are satisfied with the improvements we could make with the development of the new aerodynamic parts."
