According to his manager Werner Heinz, Nick Heidfeld has signed a preliminary contract to drive for Jordan in 2004. Last week the Silverstone outfit revealed that the German is to test at Jerez this week (Dec 3 - 5), alongside Czech youngster Jarek Janis.
Talking to German sports agency SID Werner today confirmed that the former McLaren tester and Sauber star has agreed to take a pay cut, vital considering the team's current financial state, and has signed a preliminary contract.
"We have come to an agreement," he said. "Nick has reduced his wage demands."
