A wet and soggy day

Team SAUBER PETRONAS continued its three-day test at the Circuit de Catalunya today. Felipe Massa covered 24 laps in chassis C23-05 to set a best time of 1:28.162. Race engineer, Mike Krack, offered some insight as the team's difficult week continues. "Unfortunately it was raining all day so that we simply couldnīt run our programme. However, we used these weather conditions to do some Bridgestone wet tyre tests which went well. In the late afternoon the sky cleared up and we were able to work a bit on the car set-up for the Barcelona race and the C23 proved to be quite good under these conditions."

Today's programme had originally planned to test the first batch of new parts produced by the team's new wind tunnel. That test will have to be run under more favorable weather conditions. The team will hope for better luck on their final testing day tomorrow when Giancarlo Fisichella takes over the driving duties.
