The sun was shining again in Fiorano today, as team SAUBER PETRONAS wrapped up a busy week of testing. Unlike yesterday, the car ran trouble free, allowing Felipe Massa to complete 167 laps. His best time of 0:57.315 is less than one and a half seconds less than Michael Schumacher's record time set in the F2004 earlier this year. Sauber completed a total of 378 laps this week, which makes this their most productive test session so far this season. The team should be pleased with their pace and the progress made testing brakes and dampers.

Race engineer, Giampaolo Dall'Ara was pleased with the team's efforts. "He [Felipe] has worked hard and ran a lot of laps, thanks to which we finally could complete our scheduled test programme for this week. Overall we can say that we did a lot of mileage those days which provided valuable data for us. We now feel much more confident concerning low-speed tracks like Monaco which was the main target of our work here in Fiorano. In addition we were able to achieve good results referring to the brake performance on high-demanding tracks such as Montreal."

Today will be the final test before the next week's Spanish Grand Prix. Following that race, the Sauber team will head to the UK for a test at Silverstone from May 11-13.
