Team SAUBER PETRONAS completed its three-day test at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza today. Felipe Massa covered 95 laps in chassis C23-05 to set a best time of 1:21.630s. It has been a productive and troublefree week for SAUBER PETRONAS' testing at Monza. Felipe Massa took over the wheel for the final day of testing and the team are now well prepared for next week's Italian Grand Prix. "We used our final test day to undertake a data verification with Felipe which also included further long-runs in conjunction with our Bridgestone tyre work," said race engineer Giampaolo DallŽAra. "We were able to make our decisions concerning brakes and tyres for our two drivers for Monza and also finalised the assessment of our low downforce package. We could complete our planned programme without major technical problems and made some good progress in race preparation during those three days. "

Team SAUBER PETRONAS will be testing again from 14 to 16 September in Jerez. Formula 3000 champion Vitantonio Liuzzi will join the team for the final day of that test to see if he has what it takes to handle an F1 car. A good result will improve his chances of being hired as Giancarlo Fisichella's replacement.
