Neel Jani Leaves Sauber for Red Bull

SAUBER PETRONAS confirmed today that part-time test driver Neel Jani will move to Red Bull Racing next season. The 21-year old Swiss driver has not tested for SAUBER since February but performed several PR runs over the summer. Jani is backed by Red Bull Energy Drinks and will presumably test for their recently acquired F1 team next season. He debuted in their car at the Jerez test session last week. His departure has left SAUBER without a dedicated test driver. It is not clear if the team will replace him but DTM star Gary Paffett is reportedly being considered for the role.
