SAUBER Sign with Proposed GPWC Breakaway Series

There has been a lot of talk over the winter about the battle for control of Formula One. Ferrari recently turned their back on the manufacturers' GPWC group by signing Bernie Ecclestone's new Concorde agreement. In an equally shocking move, it appears that team SAUBER PETRONAS has signed the GPWC's Memorandum of Understanding making them the first independent team to do so. Alan Henry, a notable journalist for Britain's Guardian Newspaper, broke the news on Speed TV's talk show Wind Tunnel tonight. The news is unexpected because SAUBER has stayed silent through most of the FIA versus GPWC battles to date. The news has not yet been confirmed by the team but we will be keeping a very close watch on this story as it develops.
