Not Guilty

IndyCar driver Helio Castroneves, his sister, Katiucia, & attorney Alan Miller were found not guilty of tax evasion by a jury after a week of deliberations. This brings an end to the seven week long trail that threatened to derail the career of the popular Team Penske veteran.

Castroneves immediately announced his plans to fly to Long Beach and participate in this Sunday's race. “The car is ready, the helmet is ready, the suit is ready,” he said. “I’m going back to racing.”

Team penske will have Helio back in his "traditional" car, the #3 machine. Will Power, who filled in for Castroneves during pre-season testing & the St. Petersburg race, will be in a 3rd Penske car for this weekend. What the team's plans for Power are in regards to the rest of the season are unclear at this moment, but it would probably be safe to assume that he will also race at Indy in May at the least.
